Implicit curves: equations with x and y
Not every curve is a single function of x. In the equation x²+y²=25, x and y appear together: points satisfying the equality make a circle of radius 5 centred on the origin.
Why is it called implicit?
Instead of giving one y for every x, the equation describes a relationship between the two coordinates. A circle has an upper and a lower half, so it cannot be represented by one ordinary y=f(x) formula across the whole curve.
What else can you build?
Try x=3 for a vertical wall, y²=x for a sideways parabola, or xy=1 for a hyperbola. Different branches can form independent physical tracks.
Restricting the visible part
Open a track's Advanced settings and add conditions such as y>x-0.5 or x<2. Conditions clip the displayed curve and its physical collider. Implicit curves are exploratory and currently unscored.
