Accessibility at Rollgebra
We aim to make the maths game usable on phones, tablets and computers. The interface includes labelled buttons, track expand/collapse controls and focus indicators. This is not a claim of a completed WCAG 2.2 AA audit.
Input and navigation
Track cards can be opened and closed by keyboard or touch. Maths input supports a hardware keyboard and MathLive's virtual maths keyboard; users may type simpler equations as text if the enhanced editor cannot load.
Motion and visual content
The browser's prefers-reduced-motion setting reduces decorative gem animation. The core marble simulation is animated, and we have not yet verified every assistive technology and device combination. Run outcomes are also displayed as text.
Known work
Remaining tests include screen-reader navigation of complex fractions, full keyboard-only mobile interactions, animation pause alternatives, and contrast reviews on lower-quality displays. Keyboard traps and difficult controls should be treated as defects, not as expected user behaviour.
For classroom adoption, administrators should evaluate the site against their own accessibility requirements. See For Schools.
